So, this poem came to me as I was driving home from class…..3 words: rhythm, waves, salty
“Don’t make waves,” the words played on repeat…
An ocean of eyes imprisoned her.
As salty tears touched her lips,
The rhythm of the room remained
Today, we were asked to write a 27-word poem using three words written by one of our colleagues. My 3 words were salty, rhythm, and waves (thanks Larissa!). Here’s what I came up with (in all of 15 minutes)…..
Salty waves dance in tune
With the rhythm of the ocean
Beating, beating, beating….
Their powerful moves
Crash in time with the
Sweet sounds of children
